    1936 Sonja Henie Skates

    I have a pair of 1936 Sonja Henie skates in perfect condition still in the original box any one know what they are worth?

    A couple questions, how did you come across these? Can you prove authenticity of the item? What tpe of conditions have they been kept in? Has there been any damage as a result to them?

    I used to work at the Smithsonian, when people would bring things in, these are the types of questions that someone is going to ask. My advice, go to the Smithsonian's website, email them a description and picture of what you have. Follow their instructions. Also do this to Christy's in New York, and Sotheby (sp?) famous auction house in New York, google it.

    Do not put them on ebay or sell them until they tell you do the following, it would be a mistake.
