Leila Butler - New Talent from the UK
Here is a "new kid on the block" from Britain.
Ice and easy does it
YOUNG ice skating sensation Leila Butler has scooped her first major trophy.
The ten-year-old Loughton Middle School pupil is a member of TEAM MK ice skating and beat off strong competition from fellow team member Gemma Collis, to take the gold cup at the recent Romford National Open Ice Skating Competition.
Gemma's seven-year-old sister, Zoe, took third place in the Chigwell Beginners Trophy.
All the skaters train with the Milton Keynes Ice Skating School at the Planet Ice Arena at the city's Leisure Plaza.
Members of TEAM MK will be competing in the Milton Keynes Open Skating Competition on June 9,10 and 11.
Over 250 skaters from all over the UK will be competing in 40 different categories including qualification events for the 2003 British Figure Skating Championships.
Picture shows Leila Butler scooping her first trophy.
Will be looking for Leila soon!
