    Results-ice dance

    The CD:

1 Madison CHOCK / Greg ZUERLEIN USA 30.98
2 Ekaterina RIAZANOVA / Jonathan GUERREIRO RUS 30.67
3 Lorenza ALESSANDRINI / Simone VATURI ITA 28.64
4 Tarrah HARVEY / Keith GAGNON CAN 27.98
5 Sophie KNIPPEL / Andrew BRITTEN CAN 27.54
6 Isabella CANNUSCIO / Ian LORELLO USA 27.24
7 Victoria SINITSINA / Ruslan ZHIGANSHIN RUS 25.39
8 Emese LASZLO / Mate FEJES HUN 23.81
9 Harmonie LAFONT / Stanislas ETZOL FRA 23.75
10 Kristina KIUDMAA / Aleksei TROHLEV EST 23.54
11 Karolina PROCHAZKOVA / Michal CESKA CZE 23.38
12 Elena TEREMTSOVA / Yuri EREMENKO UKR 22.86
13 Maria NOSULIA / Evgen KHOLONIUK UKR 21.57
14 Lesia VALADZENKAVA / Vitali VAKUNOV BLR 21.57
15 Alissandra ARONOW / Aleksandr PIROGOV LTU 21.21
16 Lora SEMOVA / Dimitar LICHEV BUL 21.11
17 Martina MONTONATI / Francesco FIORETTI ITA 19.40

Looks like C/Z and R/G will duke it out for gold, with bronze likely going to the Italians. But 4th-6th place should be pretty fluid among the two Canadian teams and the 2nd US team.

But the difference between lst and 6th place is less than 4 points. I still think it's anyone's chance to win.

Based on previous performances, I don't think it's a wide-open race for gold. 2 points is a huge lead in the CD. Both R/G and C/Z made it to the JGPF last season, and I expect their OD scores to push them even farther ahead of the pack.

As I thought, C/Z and R/G have pulled away from therest of the field. R/G must have fallen in the OD, giving C/Z a bigger lead.

You're right , Chukm about the top two. They should have no problem for gold and silver in whatever order. The next three, through could be bronze.

I think the bronze will go to either the Italians or the Canadians. Cannuscio / Lorello are 3 points behind H/G, and that may be too much of a gap to bridge.
