Eugeny and Data

After too many years, I have just made the connection. Evgeni P always had a nagging resemblance to someone but I could never make the connection (not enough RAM space?).

I followed the link from Flamma's Cupcake site ( http://pub151.ezboard.com/belenasokolovaforum) to the excellent artwork here at the link below. Scroll down to the second to the last line, right most picture....and the resemblance is to Star Trek: The Next Generation's android character Data.

Ther is a very long but very interesting article on Evgeni's life at this site...he was one tough little kid. You have to admire his strength and determination.

However, I must vehemently disagree with your assessment that Evgeni
looks like Data. I had a friend who looked just like Data (pasty skin and
all), and if he'd also resembled Evgeni, he would've never, ever escaped
me...

If you ask me, this caricature of Gerard Depardieu could just as easily pass for Evgeny Plushenko, but what do I know. :D

Good god, I love caricatures...but there is a fine line between good distortion and just plain well...unnecessary distortion.
