Heheh.

 You guys are great.

I agree about Vika; she's absolutely GORGEOUS, easily one of the pretty faces in skating, but desperately needs a make-over... and hey, I'm a high school gal who could care less about make-overs, except the fact I need one. :)

Plushy needs to get the Olympic hair back...it was adorable on him. I dun' like mullets, especially on my favorite men's skater!

Whoever makes the dresses for the Russian girls: Let's try and cut out fabric designs with our eyes OPEN, shall we?

Trying to bring this post back on topic: gay men giving fashion advice to clueless straight men, I offer the floowing:

Plushy, Abt, Klimkin, sweeties, even for a church wedding, a simple t-shirt with jeans is a classic look that balances out the crown nicely. With all of those prom dress rejects you guys are wearing, who can even notice the gold medals.

Yes, Mosco is burning and you all belong to the fabulous house of Mishin, but let's tone it down a bit. I understand that you need to dress this way, but why do you have to rub my face in it?
Dress style is afterall a private thing.

Oh dear God! Like a closet full of brides maids' gowns has exploded and the fragmented bits fell all over Russian male skaters.

With outfits like these, who needs to talk about homosexuality in Russia.

You mention this costume by Ilia Kulik (here is a better photo):

In my opinion it suited the programme wonderfully (Liebestraume).

Hmm, some skating fans have problems with his "Rhapsody in Blue" costume, but I learned to like it. Ilia just looked very handsome in that costume as well. I cannot though imagine any other skater who would have managed to that, LOL.

For Russian male skaters have been designed a lot of opera, ballet or theater like costumes. Most of them have never disturbed my eye. But, I come from a culture near the Russian one, LOL.

Really? Where are you from again?

When I think of Scandanavian design, I think of Alvar Aalto, Arne Jacobson, Yorn Utzon,etc..: all clean lines and beautiful simple forms. Then I think of the Kremlin or the Hermitage: so busy and decorated. Other than maybe Vodka, I don't think of Russia and Finland as sharing all that much, despite the shared border.

I think I'd select Ludmilla Nelidina as the woman most in need of a makeover ... And the hair...dear Lord the hair.
Her hair reminds me of half of the women I went to high school with -- in the '70's.

Elvis: Honest. Really. You won't look feminine in a softer style or using gentler music. Really. We mean it. Nobody's gonna mix you up with Sasha or Michelle. Really.

Spot on, Yazmeen, spot ON!
