Exactly!

This is a good improvement from their performance at Merano. Both Harvey & Gagnon & Cannuscio & Lorello were at Merano, and are here at Belarus:

Merano Paso Doble
Harvey & Gagnon 27.98
Cannuscio & Lorello 27.24

Belarus Paso Doble
Cannuscio & Lorello 29.12
Harvey & Gagnon 28.11

Both teams made an improvement, but C&L improved a bit more. Good for them!

As to how these scores compare to the previous JGP ODs:
Riazanova/Guerreiro Madrid 54.21
Hubbell/Hubbel Mexico 53.32
Shibutani/Shibutani Madrid 53.22
Chock/Zuerlein Merano 51.12
Gilles/Donohue Ostrava 50.99
Asher/Hill Mexico 48.88
Antipova/Kudashev Ostrava 48.81
Agafanova/Dun Belarus 48.76
Findlay/Richaud Belarus 48.57

Findlay/Richaud have improved hugely, as they only scored 39.00 at Courchevel, (which included 2.00 in deductions)

Either this panel of judges is scoring on the low side, or Agafanova/Dun should be worried about medalling at the JGPF and/or Jr. Worlds.

It was to be expected because they had a double fall at Courchevel ;)

This seems to have been a weaker event from top to bottom (compared to the previous JGPs). Teams that have been coming and 1st and 2nd (so far) have been getting 156+ and A/D + P/K only received total scores in the lower 150s. Also, it seems common for the scores at these events to increase as the season progresses (so that the earliest competitions have the lowest scores from top finishers, and the competitions at the end have the highest). So the fact that A/D, P/K scored noticeably lower than events that have already occured makes me really want to see some video.
I hope someone posts video from this event onto YouTube.

Just wait until the JGP in Sheffield. The scores of both A/D and P/K will miraculously zoom upwards.

I don't think that's exactly what chuckm meant.
Generally, it seems that a team's score at their second event will be "miraculously" increased for reasons other than higher levels. One example would be the score of the Canadian team of Crone/Poirier. Last year at their JGPs, their score increased from 159 to 169. Also, the American team of Samuelson/Bates saw their score increase from 155 to 171 (in JUST 1 week!)

Samuelson/Bates's score increased (and it was in two weeks, not one) by 16.4because they had a bad fall in their JGP Lake Placid event. Also, Evan was still recovering from a sore back at Lake Placid, while Emily had suffered a badly cut knee while practicing there. She had to have her knee numbed, and obviously that affected their performance.

This year Riazanova/Guerrero increased their score by more than 18 points in just 3 weeks, and it was partly because they had had two falls in their first event.

Now this I understand and is correct
