Ice Network emailed the following notice to their current subscribers today:

Dear icenetwork.com subscriber,

Many of you have expressed interest in the renewal process for the upcoming 2008-09 season.

We are currently finalizing details for the 2008-09 season program, including our complete video programming schedule and the renewal process for current subscribers. We will look forward to sending you further information in the coming days and weeks, including exciting announcements of improved coverage and access to exclusive video. In the meantime, free on-demand video from the 2008-09 U.S. Regional events will be made available during October.

Thanks for your interest,
icenetwork.com

As posted on their subscription notice page, all current subscriptions are good through Oct. 19. Skate America begins Oct. 23rd.

I also note from a recent call to their billing and subscription customer service number, IceNetwork has now outsourced that department to the Philippines. I had to ask the responder to repeat themselves numerous times to understand what they were saying. Good luck!

After next year, and after the Olys, will NBC be around?

I can do without the Disson but I must see competitions in their entirety.

btw, They did mention that my subscription will automatically be renewed. Did they not?

Correct, Joe. Provided the credit card you gave last year (or whenever you subscribed) has not expired.

As for NBC - It depends, I think, on how long their contract for the Winter Olympics goes... I haven't heard if they also get to broadcast the 2014 games or not.

I think the bidding process for television rights to 2014 is still ongoing
