Early prediction.

Men

1. Johnny
2./3. Oda / Ponsero

I am afraid that Dai might withdraw from this as well.

Ladies

1. Mao

2. Mirai (I think that she could get the second best PCS after Mao because her programs are extremely complex and performed very well. If she recovers from her injury, perhaps she could more fully rotate in her triples and land 3-3 as well).

3./4./5./6.
Ashley (Hope she can control her speed here. I also wonder if she twitches her second lutz with flip)

Laura (She was brilliant at CoC. If she does not try out the lutz and just try to be all clean, I think that she may do better than Yukari)

Suzuki (Hope she lands all of her jumps)

Nakano (Even though she did fine at SA, I am concerned about her busy schedule with her sponsor and school. Waseda is a top university and if graduate studies there are doable while serving her sponsor and training enough to remain a top skater, I would lose some of my respect to the school. If she wants to do all of these competitions, I think she should take a leave of absence ASAP).

I predict that whoever we all think is going to win the mens competition won't and they will really sink and be out of the top three and the person that we didn't think anything about will win!!

Well, the predictions for this one's gold are very unpredictable: Oda? Weir? Takahashi?

I actually wonder if Dai could make it. His fan website doesn't say anything yet about his updates. It's only two weeks away.....

LADIES Could very well be a Japan sweep.

Men Weir, Oda and Carriere should not have problems with podium finish. Takahashi if he skates should be golden but he should not skate if he is still nusring the injury. The Worlds should be his goal. Ponsero, Mura and Schultheiss awaiting the favorites mishaps.

PAIRS Dube/Davison and Pang/Tong are obvious. I have no real choice for bronze.

ICE DANCE Virtud/Moir, Pechalat/Borzat, and Faiella/Scali should make up the podium in some order. But there should be much enjoyable teams to watch here: Weaver/Poje, Reed/Reed, Gorskova/Butikov, Navarro/Bommentre, and Samuelson/Evns. Open up a bottle of beer or have a glass of wine, sit back in your best ez chair and watch this very enjoyable dance event.

Wouldn't a serious injury have been anounced by now, though? On the other hand, his training would have suffered, and he may be better off focusing on other events, especially with no chance at GPF.

This GPF season has been so strange I don't know why I bother but it's fun....

Dance first (cause it's my fav-o discipline)
G-Faiella/Scali
S-Samuelson/Bates
B-Pechalat/Bourzat (if they skate well- if not then Gorshkova/Butikov)

Pairs
G-Dube/Davison
S-Pang/Tong
B-Inoue/Baldwin (I think they prob won't make it to the podium wouldn't be surprised if another team made it to the bronze position- have no idea who though)

Ladies
G-Mao Asada (I think she will have gotten her head into the game by NHK)
S-Yukari Nakano
B-Mirai Nagasu (I think she will have gotten her head into the game as well after a rough SA start.)

Men
G-Nobunari Oda
S-Yannick Ponsero
B-Johnny Weir
