Then he skates off with both ladies.

My daughter was luck enough to have a week training with Maurizio Margaglio.

He is a truley lovely person. Accidents happen.

That was one of the greatest skating moments for me. Made the Torino Olympics for me.
Very true. She's probably thinking why can't you be like Roman and at least stand up, after all I'm doing all the difficulty.. But she did forgive him, it was just a human moment.

I could understand her a bit because I was also angry when my partner, who happened to be my best friend, dropped me twice, had a blank face, and failed to say he was sorry.

You know, it feels really shocking when your partner drop you or let you fall because it won't happen in the normal life. I felt OMG.

But you can't show your feeling to your partner though because it makes him, who is already feeling awkward, feel even more nervous and prone to making more mistakes. I think it important to help your partner feel relaxed, comfortable, and pleasant, acknowledge his best efforts, and give him an impression that he is doing great overall.

Yes, fake smiles help. Besides, you can't remain angry with a smile on your face. (Yet, I was bad natured enough to pick on my friend after the dance was over, which might be called passive agressiveness)

I have watched this several times, too, and I tend to agree. Although I would say rather that, as a partnership, their timing was off. She moved into the posititon sooner than he did.

I think at this level the timing and balance must be perfect. When it is off, IMHO it is not one partner's fault any more than the other.

Gosh i seem to be posting an awful lot about Torvill & Dean today but didn't they famously never skate together during the 6 min warm up? I'm sure i read that they each did their own thing during the warm up.
