In all the confusion of trying to arrive at Thanksgiving on time, I don't have as much time to get too fancy with the previews, but I couldn't miss a chance to talk about Ice Dance this year! It's been a great year, in general.
NHK is the last competition of the Grand Prix season. There are 4 teams here that have a good chance to go to the Grand Prix final. If Pechalat and Bourzat win NHK, they will qualify for the GPF with 26 points (first tiebreaker is the first place placement).
If Faiella and Scali win, they will qualify for the GPF. If they finish second, they could also go, depending on the second tie breaker with Belbin and Agosto. (They would also have 26 points)
If either Samuelson and Bates or Gorshkova and Butikov win, they would have 24 points. They could qualify for the GPF if F&S finish 3rd or lower.
The paso doble is the CD picked for Skate Canada. For those who'd like a refresher on the steps and would like to view some videos of the great dancers of the past dancing the paso doble, here's my reference file:

NHK is the last competition of the Grand Prix season. There are 4 teams here that have a good chance to go to the Grand Prix final. If Pechalat and Bourzat win NHK, they will qualify for the GPF with 26 points (first tiebreaker is the first place placement).
If Faiella and Scali win, they will qualify for the GPF. If they finish second, they could also go, depending on the second tie breaker with Belbin and Agosto. (They would also have 26 points)
If either Samuelson and Bates or Gorshkova and Butikov win, they would have 24 points. They could qualify for the GPF if F&S finish 3rd or lower.
The paso doble is the CD picked for Skate Canada. For those who'd like a refresher on the steps and would like to view some videos of the great dancers of the past dancing the paso doble, here's my reference file:
