Joe, the Czechs have two men's slots for Euros: in 2008 Verner won and Brezina finished 16th for a total of 17 points. I'm sure they'll send both skaters again this season. A pity they can't do it for Worlds as well.

Well, good for Euros. I don't remember if Icenetwork will be showing Euros. if so and since it is in Finland, the EST in NY would be early afternoon. Not bad after thos Asian Comps when I have to decide to go to sleep or stay awake.

In years past Euros and US Nats were on the same week. If so, I will be in Cleveland, but I will not have time for Euros. Hope they have it on demand when I return. Big battle in Men's division and Dance and somewhat in Pairs. US Nats will also have big battles because this is how the skaters qualify for Worlds.

This is such an embarrassing event. The level is probably is two levels below the average US-sectional level.
1. Kostner
2. McCorkell
3. Sebestyen

Dance
1. Khokhlova/Novitski
2. Domnina/Shabalin
3. Kerr/Kerr

Pairs
1. Mukhortova/Trankov (Trankov will show everyone what he is capable of...)
2. Savchenko/Szolkowy (they need one more wake-up call)
3. Kawaguchi/Smirnov (always my sentimental favourites - but they will have to fight for this Bronze against Volozoshar/Morozov, my other sentimental favourites)

Men
1. Verner
2. Joubert
3. Préaubert
4. KVDP
5. Brezina
6. Voronov
7. Contesti
8. Ponsero
9. Lutai
10. Fernandez

Okay, this is so difficult. I would be happy if I just predicted correctly who is in the Top Ten and not the correct order. There are so many possibilities. There are four men who could very well end up in the Top Ten, 2 or perhaps all 3 Swedes, Borudulin has a chance too, as well as Liebers.

We have got 6 guys who consistently land the Quad, those are the three French guys, Voronov, KVDP and Verner. That doesn't mean they will do so - Verner e.g. apparently hates the Quad in the short but often does a dreamy one in the long. A few other guys are known to have landed the Quad; Liebers and Lutai.

I just can't wait to see the men's competition...

I've seen a few people predict a good place for Kevin.
I, personnaly, can't see him get the kind of place he's used to getting with this seasons programs unless the others don't perform so well and he does his triple-triple-triple.
