Probably the scariest word one could utter here in "Lotus Land" - the lower mainland of BC is the SNOW word. Most people living here are not very good at driving in the snow and most don't bother investing in snow tires. It can be tricky getting around. Today it snowed enough to close the University I work at. I went home around 2:00 pm. I took the bus today and was thankful that I did. It looked pretty ugly out there for commuters. Tomorrow will be a challenge although there is the chance we might get another snow day!!!
