Ouch. Looks like a not so good day. I hope they recover in the long program.

Do you have those posts' #s?

Borodulin's 2nd? What a treat ;)
Nice! I appreciate his style more than the others.

What is interesting in these SP? results is that so many prominent Russian skaters seem to be fading away. Could that be Federation induced?

Also given those top two scores, it wont take much for them to get super high result scores.

Having Nationals over this time of year seems so likely to have the top seniors who competed on the grand prix circuit find reasons to bail... a shame... they should be able to... and more importantly, should have to... put it on the line with the rest of the competitors so reputations alone don't determine who gets slots at Europeans and Worlds... just MHO

Either these three teams are so closely matched in the CD, or the judges decided to leave it up to the OD/FD and whichever team can get the highest levels gets the third Euro spot.

B&S should be happy to be this close to G&B and R&S, the CD is usually their weakest phase.

Standings through 2 groups of ladies:

1. Shelepen 142.34
2. Martynova 129.17
3. Gozeva 126.59
4. Kozyreva 125.17
5. Artemyeva 123.30
6. Ievleva 120.31
7. Tarasova 120.07
8. Gershkovich 106.80
9. Vasfieva 103.08

Shelepen did 3F+3Lo+2Lo but fell on an underrotated 3Lutz. Great skate otherwise. Tarasova also had a good skate. I think she had the best program and musical interpretation so far, despite the fact that she skated to "Carmen". She was charming. :) but she doesn't have the technical goods yet.

She has mono.

Sotnikova won! She scored 160,55 (105.62 in LP). She fell on her 3F but landed 2A+3T+2T. Her artistry is wonderful, she has lovely balletic style and great spins! Tuktamysheva won the LP (110.06/159,88) with the performance of the evening - 3T+3T, 2A+2A+SEQ, two triple lutzes. She is so mature for her age. Please save these girls from the puberty monster! They are fantastic. Sotnikova has fantastic spins and artistry and Tuktamysheva's jumps are so big and her basics are

Gerboldt was a distant third, 149.3. Petushkova was fourth. Leonova had a meltdown - 2 falls and 1A - and was fifth. :( Shelepen rounded out the top 6 but I think she was 3rd or 4th in the LP.

Maybe Grigoriev was a naughty boy this year; this would explain why Santa isn't being nice to him. ;)

I have consulted the IceNetwork video schedule, and saw no mention of the Russian Nationals on it. I take that to mean that we are free to post URLs for YouTube, etc., from that event, when we find them, to share with others. If I am incorrect in thinking that, I hope the moderators will tell us that as soon as possible; it is my fond hope, however, that we shall not be breaking any laws by sharing availability of this skating.
