Nice article. Yes, Mao has always seemed to have the mental aspect of the sport down pretty good. 2008 was a great the best year yet for her.

I wonder if her book will be released in English?

I love the title of the article!
2008 was a super year for Mao and Mao's mental toughness and poise under pressure played major role in winning every major title.

In spite of big fall on her opening triple axel, Mao's LP at worlds was my favorite performance of Mao's of 2008. So impressive. So brave. That performance made me a big fan.

Mao always looks very nervous right before she skates, but I am always blown away by how relaxed she looks once the muic beings and how she recovers right away after fall (case in point 2008 worlds). I believe that these qualities give her the best chance of beating Yu-na, who while also being a strong competitor has not performed her best at either of the last 2 world championships.
