    Ice Dance FD

Does anyone have the link(s) to videos of the Ice Dance Free Dance?
I have been looking on cctv.com and can't seem to find any videos of it. It doesn't help that I can't speak Chinese!

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

Hi Davina, and welcome! There's not much on Youtube because few stations seem to be showing anything from the Universiade, but here's the winning FD from the Zaretskis, apparently taken from a Russian channel. Good luck with finding the others!

No, both Nakano and Takeda did better. Yukari did 2 3S and 2 3F and a 3T and Nana did 2 3T and 2 3L.

Thank you! I found that video but haven't managed to find any of the others. It's annoying because if the Zaretski's one is online then the others must be also! I've spent hours looking on the official broadcasting website for the games!

Actually, my post was correct. If you look at the protocols, you can see that Didier had a higher base value, but with the GOEs, Nakano and Takeda had a higher TES (not by much in Yukari's case). But it was the PCS that kept Gwendolyn down, her TES was pretty close to the top ladies. Since I did not watch the ladies skate, I cannot comment whether it was justified or not.

ETA: Davina, the Zaretski's FD may have been uploaded by an Israeli fan - in that case, that person may not be as interested in the other teams. You can see some ODs and CDs online. Try dailymotion, maybe there will be something there, or a google video search - that should give you links to Chinese content sharing sites.

ITA. While she was heavily favored - a bittersweet victory for Yukari after not making worlds or 4cc. Hopefully she'll be able to improve her skating in the off season so she can make the Japanese Olympic team in 2010. Lots of competition for those three spots (I assume Japan will qualify for 3).
    Go Yukari!

Wow, that sounds like a bad performance for Kiira Korpi. I'm glad she could still grab a medal. Yukari got the gold, good for her!

Davina - I don't think CCTV covered the FD. I watched CCTV5 all day, but there was no dance.

    Here are some more pictures:

Yay Yukari, but only getting higher than 100 points isn't really like her. she should be like 110+ -_-

Thanks myinterest, I watched it too and didn't see the FD either. I have seen the Zareski's video of their free dance on youtube so presumed it was broadcast somewhere and that the videos might be online. Seems I am wrong!!

Am so disappointed in the near absent coverage of this event by outlets such as IN. Skaters who continue their studies should be celebrated, and the calibre of the medalists at this event certainly was nothing to sniff at.

The Universiade, not Kristoffer's cup of tea

    http://www.landvetterkk.com/Kristoff...iversiade.html

They put on a great show but maybe it was a little long, plus we missed the big fireworks going on outside...

This was my first (and last) Winter Universiade and it was fun. It felt like the Olympics with all the other athletes, a Swedish team and an athletes village, though it’s not as big and no media..
Plus, he got sick after this and had to withdraw the Challenge Cup...
