No Canadian figure skaters are going...I guess SC is not subsidizing this event?:frown2:
The application is quite complicate and the deadline is too early anyway.
Anyone think Johnny and Vitas look quite alike around the eye area?
Is anybody managing to watch this and if so, how ? I can't open the RAR file Sdongxie sent.

And Préaubert's PCS dropped by another 4 points. But I haven't seen the performance, maybe he was really off. But good for Alban and Artem. Has Paolo Bacchini the 3A? It's difficult to score beyond 35 on TES without one. Deslot seems to have landed his as well.
A big ouch for Berntsson, Nanri, Othman and Menshov.
All skaters from top 10 did 3A's. Though it is possible to score 35+ TES with clean performance that has 3-3 and 2A. Adam Rippon did last year. Yu-Na Kim does![]()

I feel sorry for Berntsson.![]()
Thanks for the protocols!
I am somehow beyond feeling sorry for Berntsson. I don't think he has had one clean program so far this season, not even a clean short program. He somehow manages to stay in the upper ranks, because of big PCS. But the judges will lose their patience at some point, they did with Verner, they will with Berntsson. I am not saying that he doesn't deserve good PCS - but he apparently stumbled on the 3A, doubled the second part of the 3-3 and fell on the Lutz, that's a lot of mistakes for 3 jumping passes. And the judges think that the performance was just as good as Artem's and Alban's, who both had just a small wobble in their programs?
Kudos to Artem by the way, a clean 3A - first one this season?
We’ll see about that.
I don’t think I have seen the best of him this season so far, either. As you said, thanks to his PCS, he has barely managed to keep his world standing despite his unstable performances. However I think he is doing well considering his injury and lack of training in summer.
Ah...unfortunately, Preaubert received low components scores from the judges again...Does anyone know the links for their performances?

Does anyone know why the starting order for the OD is exactly the same as for the CD? I was rather surprised. To me it's a bit strange that the leading team is in the 2nd warm-up group whereas the second last team is in the last group. I prefer some order.![]()
I think there might have been a mistake there. When I checked earlier the Zaretskis were in the next to last group, not in the second group, and the last two groups were of the top teams. So I'm not sure what's going on and which order was the right one. I do hope the Zaretskis finally skate a good competition, they've been having no luck at all this year.
The original dance is done, and the Zaretskis lead with 88.44 after the first two parts of the competition - I think that's about two points ahead of Rubleva/Shefer. Scores for the OD are here and protocols are here. I like that we can see protocols after each stage, I hope the ISU will do that in future events (I know, not likely).
