I'd imagine the top three here will go to JW. R/G certainly have a chance for a medal and P/K and A/K should finish within the top ten. Ilinykh/Katsapalov are a new team, I think, and they are coached by Alexander Zhulin. I think she's 14 or 15.

Thanks for these results!!!

18. Nina Petushkova 104,14
she was ill? or injuried?

JW selection will be hard in pairs. Krasilnikova/Bezmaternikh are the reigning world junior champions, so will they be selected?

I think Grigoriev/Gachinski/Bariev will be the final podium in men...

My guess (and I truly have no idea what happened, it is just a guess) is that Petushkova had a bad skate, jump-wise and it's not like her spins, spirals and presentation bring in high marks. A lot of the younger girls ahead of her - Sotnikova, Tuktamysheva, Milovanova, Shelepen, Agafonova - have the whole package. Obviously, we already knew that Sotnikova, Tuktamysheva & Shelepen were capable of beating her. But a lot of the junior girls in Russia around that age are quite good. Some of them, like Milovanova for example, don't have jumps above the 3S but are really consistent and good overall skaters who do what they can very well. Others like Agafonova have fantastic style and great spins - Agafonova has an amazing Biellman. So with so many good girls and a bad skate, maybe the judges felt they had no reasons to hold Petushkova up.

Yeah, according to an article on allsport, the preliminary team is:

Pairs: Iliushechkina/Maisuradze, Martiusheva/Rogonov, Sheremetieva/Kuznetsov
subs: Imaikina/Novoselov, Morozova/Golubev

Dance: Riazanova/Guerreiro, Pushkash/Kiselev, Antipova/Kudashev
Subs: Ilinykh/Katsalapov, Monko/Khaliavin, Baturintseva/Volobuiev

Men: Bariev, Gachinski, Grigoriev
subs: Kovalev, Shamatov, Gorshkov

Ladies: Leonova, Gozeva
(no subs mentioned)

I don't like how federations are sending senior skaters to junior worlds. I wish Makarova had gotten the chance.

Leonova will make Europeans, Junior Worlds and Worlds the same season? And Iliushechkina/Maisuradze too...

What's the age of the dance team Ilinykh/Katsalapov?
