I agree with you re the music.

I have to admit though, it made me knda sad to see her so happy and doing so well knowing what was in this young girl's future. Seemed such a bright future then and now.................:cry:

This music reminds you of a porn movie!!

That is house music from clubs/discotheques. I don't think it has to do with porn.

I loved her music choice. It was so unique and very sexual!
I wish people would use this type of music for a change rather than the over done classical music.

Loved her music choices! She skated also to Two Tribes by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
But as I've said in the Music Trends thread it was not unusual in the '80, early 90s to use disco music instead of the overdone classical music.

That said, I love classical music too!!

Great topic of conversation. :)

Seriously, when Tonya Harding was *on*, like here at 1991 US Nationals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdC5G7CDvbI, it was something magical to behold.

The aforementioned performance was one of my favs, not only because she landed the triple axel for obvious reasons, but also because her music suited her perfectly ~ from "Send in the Clowns" to "Wild Thing" ~ pure Tonya Harding, powerhouse mixed with poignancy! Lol, I recall dancing to the latter in the clubs back then. ;)

When everything meshes, no matter whom the skater(s), it is one of those rare moments which words can't describe, just the feeling of J-O-Y! Pure unfettered unaffected joy.

p.s. when she landed the 3axel, her expression reminded me so much of Sarah Hughes at the Olympics when she landed her second 3/3 combo. Incidentally, both completed firsts -- Tonya Harding 1st American woman to land a 3axel in competition & Sarah Hughes the 1st woman to land two 3/3 combos. at the Olympics.
