ugh, I feel so bad for these skaters having LP scores below what Rochette and Kim scored in the SP. That can't be encouraging for someone's confidence level.

Isn't it always that way? 6 competitors each group, 5 minutes for each program + another 3 minutes for the marks and announcement of the next competitor + the warm-up?

I just finished tiding up my den and now I think I will make a cup of
tea to keep me awake. It is going to be a long nigh for sure. lol

Can't get Radio Canada to open after I gave them that nice Thank You!

Justin TV is ok (thanks, guys) but not as high quality.

Ges...ova had a nice style - crowd liked her.

Ahhhh, here's my BFF Radio Canada back again. S/he didn't like me watching Justin!

Anastasia UZB

oriental/mid east music
self-choreo

2a-2a ok, not much flow
3lz good - slight 2foot?
3f - same
3t-2t
3s-2t
3t out of turns -- fall
spiral slow
3s fall

spins average, a bit stiff

disappointed at end
not particularly engaging for me, crowd reacts very warmly though
most powerful jumper we've seen so far. could use more speed/power and confidence i think in her in-between skating, to pull off the style that would work for her

79.17 -- 125.39 -- 1st
crowd seems to like her!

Na-Young Kim, KOR

Romeo and Juliet -- fast music
big crowd reaction when introduced!

3f fall
2a-2a good
3f good attack
2t opened up
3s - 2foot, ur?
3lz nice
3lz fall, over rotated

big applause
but she is quite disappointed

spins pretty nice, but could use speed and refinement to compete with best
does not really seem to "inhabit" her choreography, going through the motions a bit, though one feels she has the potential if she could relax and work on refinement

76.34 -- 120.28 -- 2nd

I know some people were questioning Hyeon-Jung Kim's age earlier and I was also doubtful of her age so I asked around and got this response
Hyeon-Jung is 16 years old for sure. I heard that she had pelvic deformity ( Is this right? I don't know how to say ) when she was young. She even couldn't walk well without her mother's help. She got over it after she started skating. But maybe it had influence on her growth.
Her family couldn't afford to support her skating, so Yu-Na supported her financially a lot. Hyeon-Jung could train in Canada thanks to Yu-Na
I regret doubting her age before and I believe now she is really 16.
