It's amazing that the top five finishers had total scores all within approx 3 points.

JSF selected their 2009 Junior World team based on the results from Junior Nationals in late November 2008 and, interestingly, did not wait for the results of the Junior Grand Prix Final or Japan's Senior Nationals in December. The bolded names below (Haruka Imai and Mari Suzuki) and the ones going to Junior Worlds.

Japan's JGP Ladies' results:
Yukiko Fujisawa - 1st in CZE, 2nd in GBR, 2nd in JGP Final
Kanako Murakami 3rd in ESP, 1st in GBR, 4th in JGP Final
Shoko Ishikawa - 4th in CZE, 4th in RSA
Haruka Imai - 1st in BLR, did not receive a 2nd JGP
Rumi Suizu - 2nd in ITA, 10th in RSA
Kana Muramoto - 3rd in BLR, did not receive a 2nd JGP
Ayane Nakamura - 5th in MEX
Yuka Ishikawa - 6th in FRA
Satsuki Muramoto - 8th in ITA
Nanoha Sato - 10th in MEX
Mari Suzuki - 12th in ESP
Yuki Nishino - 15th in FRA

Here were the results of the 5 JGP ladies that competed at Japan's Senior Nationals (one month after Junior Nationals):
7. Kanako MURAKAMI 7 8 147.83
8. Satsuki MURAMOTO 8 7 146.27
