    Are the teams all set?

I hope you get to go.

Edited to add: PS, I see now that there is already a thread about this, "Who says there are no pro competitions," below.

I wish I could go. When is it going to be on American TV?

Btw, there is one additional Russian in "Europe" category. Aren't there any other skaters in Europe who could have been invited to this event? I love Russian skaters, but I'd love a little variety, too.

I wasn't sure what nationality Kovarikova & Novotny were. They are Czech, right?

Yes they're Czech. The others on the European team are British and Ukrainian, so that's OK.

I usually root for the good old USA in events like this, but Canada is fielding three (four) of my all-time favorites. I think Jose will have a great chance to beat Nicole, Maria and Oksana.

I hope that Alexei will be able to compete.

That's right. Oksana is not Russian. I have no idea why I wrote that. Maybe I didn't have my cup of coffee yet. Thanks for pointing that out, Mathman. I certainly wouldn't want to lump Ukrainians and Russians together as one group.
