Hi everyone,
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me how soon I could go back to skating after having had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted this morning. My next scheduled session is on Sunday morning, a good 72 hours post-extraction, however I was supposed to continue working on my Axel (on the harness only, with other exercises off it) during an added lesson, so I'm wondering whether I should cancel. I'd rather have it because I'm only getting this lesson because another skater is on vacation, and without another lesson on the harness I won't start trying my Axel on my own anytime soon... on the other hand, I'd rather not cause any dental problems as that would be worse than delaying my Axel by an indefinite amount of time!
If freestyle is best avoided, would it be considered acceptable to stick to stroking and ice dance? I'm working on the first 2 preliminary dances and on the Canadian Junior Bronze stroking, so nothing too hard or susceptible or getting my heart rate and pressure high...
Thanks,
-Kypma
