Are You For or Against the WSF?

Don't know if this has been done, but I just checked out the SkateFAIR website and it sparked my imagination...

I'm basically for it. I think two such organizations will try to keep their respective houses clean. this could only lead to unquestionable fair judging. That is probably the most important reason for any organization for fans to have faith in their judges.

Also name the judges who are judging. there is no reason for secrecy except to protect a cheat.

I'm for it. Why not if they can make it work and do what the ISU isn't doing? I say go for it!

I'm basically for it too. Figure Skating is in desperate need of reform/change. If one cannot change, then another needs offer competition to force change.

Most definitely, I am for the WSF. This is because the recent changes prompted by the ISU spark some fear. The Code of Points, for one, makes things more difficult. Despite it being a sport, I personally believe the artistry and presentation should be taken very seriously.

The lifetime ban on judges caught cheating which has been proposed by this organization - for that reason alone they've won me over, and there are many other reasons I like what I see about the WSF. Of course, it's going to take some tall convincing for the PTB to take them seriously as THE federation for Figure Skating - the PTB being, of course, Jacques Rogge and the IOC. But I think it's way past time for figure skating to have its own representative federation worldwide, especially in light of the corruption and yes, dictatorship which has pervaded the ISU. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Sorry you guys, but I'm actually kinda against it! Yeah, their ideals on fair judging is awesome! But it doesn't seem like they know what they're doing. Besides, the ISU should realize that their judging system isn't working and change it. Secrecy in judging only protects the judges, not the skaters. Skaters have a right to be judged fairly. In my opinion!

how so?



and the ISU has had a few DECADES to realize that their judging system wasn't working... because it wasn't the system itself that was screwy it was the judges sitting there playing a game of politics.

I'm definately for it, I think things need to change, and the WSF seem to be keen on improvement
