I agree with whoever said Pirates has the makings of being a really cool pair program... I've had one envisioned in my head for a while now!

I bet I know which song from TP you're thinking of :) it's a sweet and sad song...

and Newsies would be cool. There's a lot of good parts that could be used...

just about anything Disney works.

With Pirates and the Caribbean, I think Drobiazko/Vanagas did a smashing job in their program, even if it was an exhibition. Of course, most of it won't work at all in a competitive program, but I think they created the right feeling with it.

I would also really like someone to skate to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. There's so many different themes covering basically the whole spectrum of emotions there. Has anyone actually skated to it? I guess maybe I just haven't seen it before, but there are just so many possible music cuts to it that I can't believe elite skaters haven't used it yet.

I also think the Chronicles of Narnia (the first film) would also work really well. I think Fumie Suguri did an exhibition to it, but I couldn't find a video of it.

And I am a HUGE Joe Hisaishi fan! I think so much of his music would be good for skating programs. I know Lu Chen did a program to Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind back then, and recently Binshu Xu did an LP to Princess Mononoke and Jenni Vahamaa did an SP to Howl's Moving Castle. To be honest, I don't think any of the programs really did justice to the music. I think Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away would be ideal for more mature juniors while even younger ones can use My Neighbour Totoro. My fantasy though is Nobunari Oda skating to Princess Mononoke. Not that there's any chance of that happening with Morozov choreographing his program.

I think that in "300" there was beautiful music, which would fit into skating very well. And the same applies to "Beowulf and Grendal"

You know guys if you would listen to Cutthroat Island you would be saying "What was that music again from Pirates of the Carribean?" LOL. Cutthroat is how pirate music SHOULD sound!

Here are some cues from Cutthroat:

Another pirate score I'd love to see used is Hook:

That is so beautiful, but might be difficult to skate to...however I can totally see Delobel & Schoenfelder interprete it...
Titanic
For Savchenko & Szolkowy  they've done an exhibition to it, and I'd love to see a FS to it...
Meet Joe Black
Also for Aljona & Robin...that would be so wonderful...BTW has it ever been used?
Mulan
Perfect music for a pairs team
Cruel intentions
Is that the original name of the movie...I'm not sure

I’d like to see an exhibition performed by US Ladies’ team on Powerpuff Girls theme … I know it’s unreal yet it’s still funny to think about it!

Oooh!! I love a lot of the choices here :) I'm a soundtrack junkie so it's always fun checking out new movie scores.

I love Brian Tyler's scoring to Children of Dune (the cues have since been reused in everything from Narnia to Master and Commander :)

I agree that Pan's Labyrinth has beautiful music! (But watching the movie was akin to have your heart ripped out. Maybe that's just me)

The soundtrack from Oldboy has some gorgeous music too. I always thought The Last Waltz would be really neat for a dance :)

Requiem for a Dream has great music too (Didn't Verner skate to bits of this?)

And while we're at it, why not consider game music too?
I've always thought this would make a kick-*** SP.

I am deathly sick of the same generic classical music. Please, no more!!!
