Oh my my. Those ties... How does that translate into the point system??? Higher tech score?
Looks like it. After all, they are not reporting it as a tie.
Mao into first. She would have been well up in the men's with this score. Almost 13 points ahead of Rochette & Ando. She must have done the 3A combo.

cool! Mao's first!I guess she landed the 3A-2T ...
Wow... huge score...
1 Mao ASADA JPN 75.84
This is amazing! Shows that she CAN compete with Yu-Na Kim! Olympics will be different now!
Wait, I think the score is pretty close now. Personal best,
Mao Asada 75.84 133.13
Yu-Na Kim 76.12 133.70
Very close now. Mao probably landed 3A + 2T, 3F and 2A
but I still think Mao should not abandon her triple triple...
Holy...@ Mao's score. But then again, her 3A has been more stable than the lutz this season, so this might be a good alternative after all (not to mention it wows the crowd more than a combination with a 3lp in the end).
Is this score going to count as Mao's personal best? It is an ISU event after all...
Team Standings:
U.S.
Japan
Canada
France
Russia
China
Well, the ladies competition is over.
Asada!Asada!
Asada!
Incredible, look at that score. When did figure skating ever have a lady with such a consistent 3A?
I'm sure Mao skated very well to get that sort of score. Since it is six points over her previous PB, however, I do wonder if maybe there was just a bit of a push for the local favorite.
I imagine it will, as you note it is an ISU event, so any PBs from here should count.
