Are you saddened when your favorite does not win (or medal)? Depends on the discipline. Some of my favorites are not really contenders for the gold.

Would you lose interest in figure skating if your favorite retires? Probably not, though Natacha is right that CoP has produced some very dull young skaters.

Do you care whether Figure Skating is considered a major sport? Not really, though I would love for it to be more popular where I live so that more rinks might be built.

Would you continue to watch figure skating if it were plagued with cheating? Probably. I'm a weak, weak person.

Are you happy with CoP? For the most part. It does need work.

Are there parts of CoP which should be studied more? YES! Levels for dance lifts, step sequences and spins all need to be reworked.

Are you saddened when your favorite does not win (or medal)? Sometimes-there are some of my favorites that aren't going to medal, and I am thrilled when they skate well and saddened when they skate poorly, but the medal isn't the big thing. It's the performance.

Would you lose interest in figure skating if your favorite retires? No

Do you care whether Figure Skating is considered a major sport? Only in that I care whether it is on TV

Would you continue to watch figure skating if it were plagued with cheating? I'm still watching, am I not?

Are you saddened when your favorite does not win (or medal)? Yes, gravely

Would you lose interest in figure skating if your favorite retires? No I`ve always had more than one favorite in different divisions of the sport, the number of them is determined the quantity of all-round beautiful skaters being currently in the field; every time my favorite leaves the scene I say thank you to him/her with a gratitude, tears sliding down my cheeks..., and then switch almost immediately to the other one!

Do you care whether Figure Skating is considered a major sport? No

Would you continue to watch figure skating if it were plagued with cheating? Yes:rofl: FS`s always been so

Do you perceive skater's gender as specifically the only way to skate? Don`t care

Are you happy with CoP? No!!! I think the new system is much worse than the old one was. It gives judges a much wider field for maneuver: it`s quite enough for the judges to create in SP a comfortable cushion from scores for a skater and, s'il vous plaît!, the skater becomes a champion, with almost 100% guarantee, before the LP has even started (Plushenko 2006 Olys, Yu-Na 2009 WC, I do love her, but nevertheless)!

Let me simply state that I've been following figure skating since the late 60's back when Peggy Fleming & Tim Wood were our national champions. So how do you think I'd answer your questions?
