Well, thank you everyone for your kind advices. Guess I will bring smaller signs and ask around about backstage stuff
    Which show is this?

Not too likely anything would show up in a "dim" arena - but in any case, small is much easier to manage.

Well, now we know how the M & Gs are done - at least for this one. I do think each one is different, depending on the venue and the event.

It is nice to know how others have handled this. I've not seen much, if any, fan support for individual skaters at the shows I've been to. Competitions are a totally different story though.

I wondered about that. It's not a competition, so you favorite skater is not going to "win". I guess if you brought a banner, you should not display it when other skaters are on the ice.

Of course only while my faves are skating
I also love the idea of flags, although the skaters are dominantly U.S. at this point :D

It looks like a great show. Do you know when it will be televised?

My personal opinion: any and all "Go Alissa!" signs are quite appropriate in any venue.

Wouldn't it confuse everyone in the arena if you brought a banner for a skater who isn't there?

I really hate it when people scream. Hurts my ears.

Skating fans indeed scream HARD in Korea, I doubt in US people go as high-pitched for so long :D

bet me, I can go for days at a skating event (or on a Disney rollercoaster) and then there's Mary Murphy on So You Think You Can Dance (which is just excessive and annoying).

I have bad ear problems and screaming is torture for me. It distracts me from the programs too.

If a popular skater has fans waving a banner or screaming, will the other skaters be offended or feel left out? Will they think - "Why don't I have fans like that"? Maybe it's best to keep it low key.

^ Bring signs for all the skaters. Bring some extra teddy bears to throw to the skaters that you don't know. Shout and scream for everybody.
