Should the ISU expand the field for the Grand Prix final?

Thanks medusa but I don't get those stations here. Any thoughts about icenetwork? I thought about subscibing - but again, I am not wild about little clips on my computer as opposed to what I can see on my much bigger television

Hmpf. Russian TV is through Internet, costs something though; 40€ for 3 months I think? I don't want to advertise for them here, but it worked pretty well for me during last season, it also included Russian Nationals, which was a treat. And the resolution is okay, I have a wide screen monitor and it was very nearly like a TV. Plus, it does wonders for your Russian skills.

yes i used it also last year and it was great, they aired the whole event, from the very first skater, and they replayed the competitions after weeks. Reception is very good.
Slight problem is that at the end of the day, my head was so boiled from russian language that i actually thought i understood what they were saying.But they dont speak much, usually they let you enjoy the program.

Haha. Same goes for me. You listen Russian the entire day, you write loads of English posts at Goldenskate and some French at Passion Patinage - and when I called my Mum in the evening I was like: Wait, can I still speak German?

Passion Patinage is a French figure skating website with interviews, articles, photos (occasionally ones they get from Nathalie Péchalat) and other information, as well as a forum. If you're a fan of the French figure skaters , it's a really good resource. And I can actually read many of the articles without resorting to Google translator, which makes me feel very good about my language skills .

Good to see that you are using the "I think" form. Now can you explain what would be the advantage if the ISU got too greedy? Did they pocket the money? Did they give it away to lesser Feds? In essence, how would the ISU cause such a problem and not USFS and NBC?

TV shows run on ratings. The ISU can not up the ratings for American viewers. American viewers have to show more interest in the programs and sales of the sponors must go up. We are not in a socialistic society in the US. Money talks.

They have so many ongoing Meets. Do you think he pays the athletes' fares to attend these Meets? Maybe it's for his personal travel.
