It was quite interesting to watch Keegan skating to that vivace type of music, and I give him credit for attempting the adagio part.

In comparing him with Cassar who excells with the adagio, I would have to give it to Keegan in a two man race. Johnathan must show his 'butch' side. As lyrical as he is, he is just not as good a Weir who can do all adagio and get away with it.

And yes, Medusa, there is a lot of diversity among the American men. Not so much with the Ladies. JMO.

Thanks dorispulaski for posting the videos. I was eager to see Patrick's "Phantom" I liked the opening cuts of music...very rarely used. The cuts overall were pretty good, but the program was less than inspiring. maybe it was just because of all the mistakes...but he did not really seem to connect to the music at all.

Thanks for posting the videos! I don't have sufficient technical knowledge to comment on each performance, but we were there, and so impressed with Keegan Messing, on and off the ice. Jonathan Cassar's spread eagle is gorgeous.

Biggest thrill of the weekend? - finally meeting Brian Orser "up close & personal!" As you already know from this thread, Adam Rippon was being monitored at this event. We were fortunate to have the chance to just watch him skate for about a half hour after the senior men's competition.

Yes, I found it very funny that Brian was wearing a Team USA jacket!

Here are some more vids:

With the old camera. The bright light from the window drove it crazy; it would adjust and then the video is almost too dark to see anything. The quality of these videos is very variable and depends on how much time the skater spent skating in and out of the light from the window.

Thanks for the uploads! I actually really like Angela's SP, she's got a lot of spunk.

She surprised me too! Her jumps are huge. I was not impressed with her on the junior level last year, but this program (and the new short hair) have worked wonders!

Keegan rocks all sorts of awesome. I LOVE watching him skate, and yes I'll admit a lot of Alaskan pride comes out when he takes the ice... I love cheering on the hometown skater, even if that hometown barely registers his existance (I actually blame the very exclusiveness of his skating club... I don't think they promote their program, or their skaters, well enough... but that's another rant). He's FANTASTIC and I love watching him sell the footwork. Definitely get a Scott Hamilton vibe from his style of skating...

can't wait to see him continue to rock it out this season!

Sorry I'm behind on the 8 ball - I was away for a week.

Any reports on Musademba? I thought her SP was lovely, what I could see of it. She has beautiful carriage and phrasing. It's a good program for her.

I'm going to try this again just in case my question was missed: does anyone have a first-hand report of Kristine Musademba?
