Sorry people. But I stick by my own feelings. Little girls to me look like they are part of a Pageant. and mimic what their mother's would like them to be.

There is a very talented young lady at AMerican Ballet Theatre who is 22 and their are screams that she should not be allowed to dance Swan Lake until she is older. While I think this is a bit much, I do think to get the emotion of the Swan Queen is not just with 16 year olds either on the dance floor or on the ice.

Mathman - Apparently Pookie resurrected this thread and while re-reading it I couldn't help but read your description of Salome. In addition to what you said, Salome was also a virgin and her sexual impulses were coming alive. That is the true essence of Salome.

Opera buffs often point out that there is a big difference between Salome and Carmen, the latter you know was well experienced. Many singers make Salome a prostitute - a no no from the critics and audience.
