Mary Travers (Peter, Paul and Mary group) Passed Away

Anyone who remembers the songs "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Blowin in the Wind" and "In the Early Morning Rain" will surely be sad with passing of Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary. Her voice was golden. Peter, Paul and Mary were big in the sixties.

I knew she had been very ill for a while, but it's still sad news. Friends of ours had tickets to see PP&M in concert in Philly this past June. Sadly, Mary was too ill to perform, so just Peter & Paul performed. We were very fortunate to see them all in concert a number of times through the years, so their songs and wonderful harmonies will always be a part of our musical legacy. Thank goodness for all those PBS concerts (starting with their 25th year anniversary concert, the holiday one, and Peter, Paul, & Mommy, etc.), not to mention all their recordings.

    RIP, Mary.

It's very sad news. The legends are all passing away one by one.

    RIP Mary.
