Short summary Ladies LP:
After being a nervous wreck yesterday home town girl Sandy Hofmann got the job done today, she was almost clean much to the delight of the audience .... without the mistakes yesterday she might have even medalled ... oh well
Agafonowa again skated to a piece of overdramatic music that she could not do justice, she was also not as solid with her jumps as yesterday.
Kiri Baga had a good skate but not with as much confidence as yesterday, still very lovely and lots of potential
The one that really rocked the house was Angela Maxwell, she was the only one staying consistently in her program and with her music. She went without hesitation into the jumps even though it meant that she would miss some.
Other skaters that caught my eye were Yretha Silete (elegant beauty) and Isabell Olson (powerful and good spring in jumps although strangely she would make mistakes on most of them).
Overall, it was a fairly well-skated event. The american girls were way ahead of everyone else in the presentation department but not necessarily in terms of jumps and spins.
Thanks for the summary Michaelk. US could have as many as 4 ladies in the GPF. Musademba, Baga and Gao or Kawamura could join Maxwell in GPF
