Ando will be a force in 2006!

Thanks for the links, Rtureck. The last one had the better quality on my computer. It was fun to listen to the Japanese commentary and pick out a word or two, such as "Grand Prix," "Ando," and "Asada."

So that is Ando skating first, then Asada in red, then Aki Sawada in pink? I didn't quite catch the triple Axel, though. The first jump in a triple-double of some sort, right? Was the second jump in the clip a triple Axel?

I thought Yoshie did great (of course I can't speak Japanese, so maybe she messed up big time, LOL). But yeah, cute as a bug. She let her hair grow out from last season I think.

Interesting that Japan dominated the ladies' competition and placed respectably in the men's, but did not enter any teams in pairs or dance.

Very different, I agree. But it's not so easy to see facial features when they are skating.

That having been said, some modeling agency needs to snap up Mai Asada, and I mean quick! I like picture #5 in the Asada set, the layback in the light blue outfit. And, of course, #6, the close-up.

I am surprised that Ando, the quad queen, did not land any triples in this competition.

My favorite Mai picture are #6 and the last one - in lavendar costume. If you watch the video clip, again. Miki and Aki seemed to be more serious. Mai seemed to be so care free and joyful. (Of course I do not understand one word they say).

Nice, I just added all these young skaters to my to watch list.
