protocols are available now and they are +2 every where on goe (including spins), technical specialist even downgraded mao's two double loops.

Everyone basically had inflated scores at worlds last year, so it's not really a good example to go by.
OK. Suppose I agree. In that case there was nothing unfair there, but maybe there is something unfair here. Let's say that Yuna deserved only 200 point at last Worlds. Still, without two elements there and considering that now she improved, doesn't she deserve 210/207 at least?

Daniel, I don't think any one is being rude. Fans always question judges. (We don't have the opportunity to talk to them in person.) Judges make mistakes too. And reputation judging is real.
Well, someone is being rude here. Well, I'm rude too actually. But well, really what happens here is that Yuna got a big margin. That's the reason why so much people really are worried. She improved, she got 3 points more. And got a margin. But not because of judges, but because Mao had a quite bad SP. That's the real reason. See if Mao improves and skates better.

FYI, Yu-Na is the only one among top 5 whose technical element score is higher than PCS. All the other ladies have PCS higher than technical elements.

    Protocols don't lie.

Maybe she held back on purpose because she felt sorry for the other girls and did not want to win by 50 points.

Although I joked earlier that Mao cannot beat Yuna this season, if Mao can do all her moves right and Yuna makes a few mistakes, the score gap can close really fast. Besides, we haven't seen Miki and Joannie in competition this season yet.

It is interesting to discuss the scores - but for me, the placement is what counts.
I think the placement was right for the Ladies competition.
I think for so early in the season Yuna skated like a dream. It is obvious that the judges like what they see and that is why she is racking up the points.

I like Caroline Z but have to accept the judges are not liking aspects of her skating.

Mao did better today and it is easy to see that Tat wants drama and fireworks.
I prefer Yuna's program and to me her skating looks like the focus rather than loud music and a louder costume.

Looking at people's reaction... That makes sense.

I really hope Mao will show what she is capable of.

Okay, after rewatching the program and taking note of the detailed, interesting transitions that this team worked into the choreo, I understand the astronomical PCS. They really worked to develop the cohesiveness of the technicality and the artistry - upon rewatching, it's really the most interesting program I've seen.
    Thanks, that helps a lot.
So I guess this program is more for the judges and experts to appreciate?
I think the casual fans like myself were looking around and asking 'so that's it?'

Can anyone verify? I'm pretty sure this is what happened.
You're right. The last spin had been a flying camel spin in the competitions before the last Worlds. But it was not in the game, which turned out to be a mistake of the team who changed it to a non-flying camel spin to reduce her back pain.

Well-Said. I must say that the "other" skater who likes to challenge a lot always receives an enormous PCS whether she pops her jumps or falls. Now, can we stop saying that there's something suspicious about yuna's high scores? And it's really sad to spread rumors that yuna is "arrogant" when in fact you may not even know her. I said this earlier, but many people who know her have said that yuna is incredibly sweet and polite.

If Mao didn't deserve 60+ PCS, then YUNA would certainly NOT DESERVE that 66+, since you don't THINK Mao worth that 60+, how can you accept that 66+ PCS, wierd~~

Sure Mao had many downgrades in jumps, including loop which I looked quite good, anyway, I wished she did it better next time

Don't want to go into the judging, because I'm really not knowledgeable enough. But I love both of Kim's programs, costumes are top-notch as well. I thought last year's LP was stale and boring, she skated it great, sure, but there was nothing interesting about it IMO. The Gershwin program OTOH has many transitions and a very unusual, understated mood. Must say I'm pleasantly surprised, I thought she would go for the obvious spectacle and drama like last year.
