I saw some of the exhibition on TVU(good quality today) Don't know who broadcast the channel called "Yu-Na broadcast", but thank you if you read this

I was impressed by "the oldies" Rena & John. They looked very fresh and fit. Alban and Nobu very funny and entertaining.

Emily Samuelson & Evan Bates of the United States came in 4th in Ice Dance, so were they also able to skate in the Gala Exhibition?

Or is that honor only reserved for the medalists? Thanks for your reply.

Just the medalists and the skaters from the host country usually skate in the gala.

Thanks. Too bad for me.

I really wanted to see their exhibition skate. Ah well, better luck next time. I just want them to enjoy this Olympic Season, do their best, and know that they have a bright future in front of them in USFSA Ice Dance.

I'm hoping to see them for many many years to come!

The top four medalist in each discipline skate in the Gala along with all of the
skaters from the host country. If you watch the clip of the Gala Ending that is in the first post of this thread you will see Samuelson/Bates take a bow right after Caroline Zhang who also came in 4th. So to answer your question yes Samuelson/Bates skated in the Gala, not sure if it is up on youtube though.

In the clip you mentioned I saw them take their much deserved bows.

And I noticed that they were wearing their Saturday Night Fever outfits from last year, which goes along with what Evan Bates mentioned somewhere (sorry, can't recall where I read it), but I'm pretty sure he said that they will be keeping their same exhibition number, which is allright by me, I love it!
