The entries for this competition are:

1 Vanessa CRONE / Paul POIRIER CAN
2 Lucie MYSLIVECKOVA / Matej NOVAK CZE
3 Carolina HERMANN / Daniel HERMANN GER
4 Anna CAPPELLINI / Luca LANOTTE ITA

9 Alla BEKNAZAROVA / Vladimir ZUEV UKR (Withdrew)
10 Meryl DAVIS / Charlie WHITE USA

The order of skate has not yet been posted, but they will skate in the reverse order of their ISU standings as of the start of the competition:

That should be:
1 Riazanova & Tkachenko (94th) - however they are a new team this season.
2 Platonova & Grachev (37th)
3 Hermann & Hermann (31st)
4 Beknazarova & Zuev (29th) withdrew
5 Mysliveckova & Novak (26th)
6 Rubleva & Shefer (24th)
7 Copely & Stagniunas (22nd)
8 Capellini & Lanotte (15th)
9 Crone & Poirier (11th)
10 Davis & White (3rd )

The dance for the CD is the TANGO ROMANTICA, which is skated only in senior competition. It has not been done that recently in competition prior to this year (edited to add most recently in 2005/2006, but not at Worlds or Olympics). The last season it was used (edited to add at Worlds) was the 2002/2003 season in Seniors. (Edited) Rubleva & Shefer did skate it at 2006 Russian Nationals. It was, however, used at Nebelhorn this year, so Davis & White, Copely & Stagniunas, Riazanova & Tkachenko, Mysliveckova & Novak, Hermann & Hermann have all skated it, at least that one time in international competion..

Here's how those teams scored there:

1 Meryl DAVIS / Charlie WHITE USA 37.62 19.54 18.08 7.25 7.10 7.25 7.35 0.00 #7

3 Ekaterina RIAZANOVA / Ilia TKACHENKO RUS 31.64 17.56 14.08 5.70 5.40 5.70 5.80 0.00 #8

4 Katherine COPELY / Deividas STAGNIUNAS LTU 31.23 17.38 13.85 5.75 5.25 5.60 5.60 0.00 #17

8 Lucie MYSLIVECKOVA / Matej NOVAK CZE 28.85 15.94 12.91 5.25 5.05 5.05 5.30 0.00 #5

10 Carolina HERMANN / Daniel HERMANN GER 26.13 14.36 11.77 4.85 4.50 4.80 4.70 0.00 #4

Ice-dance.com has the correct descriptions and layout of the dance:

[Pattern Man]

Music - Tango 4/4
Temp - 28 measures of 4 beats per minute; 112 beats per minute
Pattern - Optional
Duration - The time required to skate 2 sequences is 1:43 min

"This is a romantic sinuous dance which expresses the soft, lyrical interpretive characteristics of the Tango. It must be skated with deep edges. Foot and body movements must be deliberate and convey a sense of dignity approaching arrogance. Very erect carriage, precise timing, and continuous flow must be maintained. The difficulty of the steps should not be revealed in awkward or stressed upper body positions. Finally, coordination of free leg movements is essential to avoid a tangled, confused effect."

The dance was invented by Ludmilla Pakhomova, Alexander Gorshkov and Elena Tchaikovskaya.

First Performance - Moscow, 1974

Apparently Beknazarova/Zuev have just withdrawn . Their names are scratched from the ISU entries page :

I doubt there is enough time for a replacement

The tango Romantica is OK but I prefer the Argentine Tango and since this is probably the last or second to last season with CDs I wish all competitions had the Golden Waltz :agree:

Not a surprise, as Zuev has been injured :(
I'm sorry to hear that they had to withdraw.

You're right-I didn't think it got drawn that year, and it wasn't at worlds or Olympics So anyone at 2006 Europeans or 2006 4CC's will have skated it in competition. Also at Russian Nationals, so probably Rubleva and Shefer have skated it. (I have edited the initial post to reflect this).

Page 10 has the current deductions and things to watch for in judging the Tango Romantica, according to the ISU.

Anybody else with icenetwork having problems?

I didn't have any problems whatsoever with TEB. Hmmm....

I'm logged in, it's just that they haven't started live streaming yet.

Mine is showing. Try clicking the 800 K link once the window opens. The 400K did not work for me initially.

German couple looked good (lol, I'm new to ice dance, no expert). She looks like Ashley Wagner of the United States. Like her dress with the red rose on the side. :) Into 3rd place.

Nice CZE couple (he reminds me of Evgeni Plushenko). Love her lovely black dress with the faux diamond trim except the huge baby pink bow on the back needs to go. JMHO. Into 1st place. :)

Yes, I'm excited! The last group is practicing on the ice ~ can't wait to see how Davis & White of the USA do! :)

Wow, the Italian couple remind of V&M of Canada to a tee! Same look, style, et al.

And Meryl Davis looks gorgeous as usual in a blood red sparkly halter-style dress (similar to the one worn by Emily Samuelson in her FD) that shows off her porcelain skin, whereas Charlie is in all black.

These two couples are the most attractive IMHO.

Warm-up over!

LTU couple looked good out there, she in a red sparkly 1920's flapper style dress & he handsome in all black (like Don Juan, lol). :)

And they go into 2nd place with a kiss & a wink from him. :)

Wow, I really like this young ITA couple -- lots of promise -- they sizzle out there on the ice. Like I said earlier they remind me of V&M of Canada to a tee, right down to the outfits they wore for their Spanish Flamenco dance at TEB.

INTO 1ST PLACE!!!!!!!!!:love::clap:
