I heard Paul Wyle say a couple of times Universal Sports coverage that spins held for more than 8 rotations adds a level of difficulty. Skaters are holding their positions more AND the scratch spin is seen more too!

To me, that just means even longer stretches where the skater is practically sitting still on ice because they can't make themselves rotate any more. :sheesh:

Return of scratch spins is good though. :biggrin:

At least until every program has to end with them to get extra revolution points. :frown2:

most programs in the 6.0 ended when them because it put a type of exclamation point at teh end of the program

kinda like every pairs program ending with the oh so romantic death spiral.

The 8 rev rule was in effect last year as well and does NOT apply to a scratch spin.
