I'm repeating the reference info on the Golden Waltz.

The dance was invented by Dubova, and first skated by Klimova & Ponomarenko in the 1986/1987 season as a waltz OSP.

Features are a solo turn by the lady, and a a shoot the duck position by the lady.
The pattern has deep lobes which should absolutely not be cut off or flattened (this is hard to see on TV unless the station shoots wide angle shots)

It should be light hearted and have a real waltz lilt to it.

The changes of position should be smooth, moving effortlessly from one to the other, and not jerky.

Here are some examples of couples skating the Golden Waltz. Most of the older skaters will have competed this dance before. Furthermore, it was skated at Finlandia this year, and at TEB. It is a senior dance only, so skaters coming up from Juniors will not have competed the dance before.

Ice Network is carrying it in the US. I believe Skatebuzz is carrying it in Canada (they have a 3 pm EST block of time listed).

WebTv does not appear to be carrying it.

Universal Sports (TV) and CCTV5 are not carrying the CD, but are carrying the other events. US is not carrying the Ladies LP, because it is on NBC.

I have such a hard time keeping track of all the country-hopped judges who judge/used to judge for Israel including judge no.9 from hungary. The british judge at TEB used to judge for Israel too I believe, and the one @ Worlds who was a Hungarian judge used to judge for Israel too, IIRC.

GO ZARETSKIS!!!!! AM YISRAEL CHAI !!!! YOU ARE THE HOPE OF THE NATION!!!

My only hope for the competition is that the Zaretskis walk away with a medal, that's it all I want, they are in serious contention for the bronze and I would love to see them get it!!!!

If Nav/Bom and the Zaretskis stand on that podium, I would be the happiest skating fan in the world!!!!

Go Tan & Ben!

Loved the orgasmic face expressions in the starting pose, by all the couples today.
