Valentina's third competition in as many weeks, she is pushing hard for that olympic spot and i hope she doesn't injure herself.

Carolina messed up again, she repeated 2t as are her solo jump after doing it in combination hence wasn't credited for the jump. Valentina didn't take advantage of it she fell on under- rotated 3Lz, which was meant to be her combination. Hence the gap between these two ladies is largely due to higher PCS of Carolina(28.94 to 22.94). I wish Italy had two olympic spots and both these wonderful ladies could compete in it.

Bacchini landed all his jumps (3A, 3Lz+3T, 3F), but receiving -GOE on Flip, and Axel. But his PCS was lower than some of the junior skaters like Majarov. I hope we will get to see some videos on Youtube. Since Zalenka(has he competed this year ?) isn't competing here we cant compare the score and how it will shape up that second Italian mens spot.

Javier did not try his quad toe loop, he did 3T+3T instead and doubled his Lz. Steenberg singled his axel everything else got +GOE, Lindemann doubled his Lutz while his compatriot Tishdendorf got -3GOE across the board for his 3 Lz, but no falls recorded.

Thanks for the sum up. It's from the protocols, right? Or did you see or know someone who saw the competitions? Pity the Italian ladies didn't do as well as Bacchini(67,26 big PB for him). We'll soon see what happened today.

Yes, it is from protocols, I only did for the really lazy once who want to know what happened but yet (i used to be one among them) can't bother to check the protocols. Disappointingly there is not a single program on youtube from this competition, lets hope someone will be kind enough to us.

Any idea whether Zalenka has competed this year?

Javier Fernandez won! and he even landed the quad cleanly (+1 GOE)

Nice to see from protocols that he landed a quad, he did try the quad in Nice but he fell on it.

Thanks again life684 for the results. Sad for Valentina. It doesn't look good for her.

Carolina won the FP by 30 points.

Her Warm-Up: 3Flip3Toe; 2Axel-3Toe; 3Toe; 3Sal; 3Loop
Her LP: 3Flip2Toe; 3Sal; 2Axel-2Toe; 3Toe; 3Loop hand down; 2Axel; 3Sal2Toe

She looked very good out there!

So there is still hope that Carolina does 3-3 in competition :)

Thanks jiggs, I take it you were there and had a good time. Fine that C is working with a mental coach and seems confident. I really wish her the best luck in Italian nationals, Europeans, OG, worlds and then whatever….?

Also happy for Javier. One more man approaching the top guys

corded.

Zelenka and Bachini already competed against each other this season at Finlandia Trophy where Paolo beat Karel convincingly by almost 30 points!! I Hope Bachini gets the 2nd spot. Karel is good but he had too many chances and never delivered.
