If Patrick's injury is healed, he should win and could be a Spoiler for Diaisuke, Michal if they are not at their best. Michal needs another bronze to tie with Johnny and Dai needs a silver to do the same. If both succeed, there will be tie breakers to eliminate one of them.

HOWEVER ....

Other Spoilers include: Abbott, Contesti, v.d.Perren, Carrier, Preaubert.

Should be a deuzy of a contest with much at stake for Michal and Daisuke.

Not to mention, lots at stake for Johnny.

I think Patrick will win because:
1. It's in Canada
2. It is to every federation's benefit who has a man in the tie breaker for the GPF, as if Patrick wins, someone here will not get 15 points, who otherwise would be in the tie breaker.
3. He's the reigning World silver medallist, and therefore has the skills to justify giving him the points.

Now he just has to skate reasonably well.

Since I will have just watched a pack of tango romanticas, I can't say I'm looking forward to Chan's Tango SP as much as if it were after a bunch of golden waltzes.

How could Michal getting another bronze tie with Johnny's silver?

There are so many "IFs" in the results including the possibility of removing one already presumed 'IN' from another venue to be in the Finals

NAILBITER!!!.

How on earth does Van Der Perren have a higher ranking than Chan???
It's this stupid thing with those B-competitions. There are so many ISU-approved B-competitions in Europe, so European skaters often go there, not much travel and ISU points to collect.

Unfortunately the summer competitions in North America don't seem to have official ISU status, so it's much more difficult to collect easy ISU points for North American skaters, unless they want to make the trip to Europe.

It's unjust and I hope that they change that quickly.

I've been trying to figure that out... I have no clue. Probably because he did manage to hang in there last GP season, and he's probably done more Senior B competitions than Chan has. As I've said before, this just proves that the ISU rankings should not be taken seriously. As a whole, they don't accurately portray the results from the competitions. I mean, how long was Carolina Kostner at the top the rankings?

So i remember commenting on the "trivia" during the warm-up at SA. This is exactly exactly what I was talking about. I thought the info about their skating career (like they're doing here) would have been more appropriate, not the "Jane Doe likes long walks on the beach and knitting" that they did at SA.
