A nail biter to fill the gaps in the standings to go to the Finals. Michal and Dai, the most likely two get enough points to get into the Finals will be met with such opposition as Chan, Abbott, Contesti (whom himself has a shot at getting into the Finals), v.d.Perren, Carriere, and Preaubert.

As Doris said in another thread, Johnny, too is vulnerable although not skating here.

And Denis Ten could mess up somebody's chances for the GPF by breaking into the group of contenders here. As if it weren't tough enough!

I won't bother watching it, apparently I have better things to do I was told, but I'll be rooting for Daisuke Takahashi, my favourite in this field.

I want to put in a word for Armin. This was the first time I've seen him and I was super-impressed. He jumped well, moves beautifully - very feline, and has a great sense of style. He had one of those ridiculous falls on nothing. Other than that, he looked perfect to me. I think he has a great future in the sport. Besides that, he has one of the cutest skater smiles I've ever seen.

I spent more ttime than I could afford recently on charting the men's math for the GPF up to SC, trying to figure out who would most likely make it.

I think I've got four headed for the GPF out of the six allowed: Oda (30 points), Lysacek (28 points), Joubert (24 points), and Weir (22 points).

Abbott has 7 going into SC, Contesti has 9, Takahashi has 9, Brezina has 11.

(In spite of bad luck with the flu, Verner does have a total of 20 points.)

Another really bad skate from Ten. Sawyer still looks good for Canada's second spot.
