Clean skate for L&H(I think).
Wonder what Speedy's doing here. Wasn't there supposed to be some speed skating event somewhere this weekend?

SP Fascination

An SP with actual choreo!!
Well it's that schmalz waltz Fascination, but I still like it.
Nice use of the arms
3T, her landing not top shelf
Lovely twist beautiful catch, integral to the choreo
3Fth she lands it, again some diceyness in landing, not bad
spins mostly ok

Death spiral, skate caught in fabric on entry, neatly extracted, and a nice job
f/w some in waltz hold, nice, actual choreo
Lift into an ugly position, rotate out
Pair spin starts immediately.

Score 55.52, just into 1st

SP Requiem For a Dream by Clint Mansell

Don't like this music, and there's way too much of it this year.

Black and silver costumes, very nice.

Nice twist, decent height
She singles her salchow
Great pair spin-change of direction on one foot, 2nd change, fastest at the end
3loop throw-she lands close to the boards, has to distort leg, holds the edge though
Change hand death spiral
F/w fast, quite musical
Score 57.90

Jessika appeared a bit stiff. like she was nervous... But I loved their program and Bryce in it!
They haven't done SBS 3S and still in 1st place?!

Beautiful program from M/T. Such a shame for her hands down on 3 Throw.

Some glitches through M/T's program, it was way better at TEB, but I still liked it.
Don't know if they'll outscore D/D though.

ETA: they did, by quite a lot 65 and change

This is EXACTLY something what a casual fan will never understand. Even figure skating fans don't get it, so why would someone who watches only big events? In this sense COP sucks totally.

SP Appassionata by Secret Garden

Costumes would work better for Spartacus-dark brown, light brown

3Tw really nice
3T landed, landing could be better by her (near boards)
nice moves in the field here
3Loop throw. she pitches forward, 2 hands down
Dog pee spiral into death spiral with change of hands might lose the 2nd rev-it was wrenchy and slow at the end
Lift OK
F/w nice, I like it
Pair spin-he put 2nd foot down between spins. Looks like it doesn't matter, though.

S/S clearly the best program (worst costume), i also loved M/T program as well. not as clean as the germans.

SP Send in the Clowns performed by Danny Wright

Clown suits & makeup intact

Standing ovation

Huge 3flip throw (very high)
3Ts
Besti's into 3Tw
Spins off a bit especially at end
Pair spin travels at recenter, nice positions
death spiral
Complex, interesting f/w done with decent speed
Lift has ugly position, but she actually gets thrown upward on the rotate out dismount.

Should be first, just how much?

Is it too much to ask for S/S to ditch that make up. That's the only bad thing about this program (the costume almost seems acceptable)

Ok, now off to watch roller dance and its voidy music cuts.

Yes D/D can make the final with a 3rd here but they would have to outscore Z/Z,s total. Which after that short is looking less likely! D/D look like they are headed the same way as last year when they came out ok at the 1st of the season and then started dropping off instead of building their way upward. Too bad I was really hoping they would only improve this year as the year went on.

Thanks for the information! Their performance level is much higher than it was last year though so I am going to hope that is was a stupid mental mistake and that they kick butt in the long

Wow, what a divide between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd . . . almost a ten points difference between each placement. Almost makes the LP seem anticlimactic.

Don't forget the TEB, where the german had an advantage and dropped lots of points in LP, hence anything is possible. hopefully S/S will have a clean program.
