    Because they are the sentimental favorite? Also, IMHO, S/Z have better emotional connection, which evokes more feelings among fans.

    Have you seen S/Z skate since their comeback? There's more than sentiment involved in choosing them. They haven't lost a thing, imo, in the time they've been away. If anything, they have gained audience connection while maintaining a high skill level. They are the ones to beat, again imo.
