    And if two more teams withdraw, do they cancel it altogether, or just bring in Rubleva & Shefer, given that the substitute list would be exhausted?

    Moreover, considering that 5 out of 6 of the original lineup are there (Khoklova/Novitski were the 1st substitutes) including the top 2 qualifiers, I don't think it's a big enough deal to call it the "Semifinals".

    I guess these teams just want to make sure they do not take any unnecessary risks with their health in an olympic year.

    As per protocol, Crone/Poirier (2nd alternates) are replacing Belbin/Agosto because the 1st alternates turned the entry down.
