Her triple toe looks UR'ed in opening combo - I guess she get close enough on it.

Jane, I am really honestly curious. Is there anyone out there
who can do better 3-3- than Yuna? Serious watching this depresses me
because some skaters don't even get edge/UR calls when
it is SO apparent, and then there's Yuna......

I can't really comment on how others did because I watched GPF over the internet and the connection just SUCKED. ugh!!! I watched 20 sec of Akiko, and 10 sec of Miki.

I think her 2A were UR...

Happy for Alena! She's so cheerful, I smiled with her! And new PB! Go, girl!

Yep, I also think it was the 2A for Ashley.. The slow mo showed obvious UR...
Wow, Yuna got a DG on 3t? I guess it looked a bit tight but still.. I want to see more risk takers, which is now virtually impossible with these URs all over the place.. Joannie must have gotten some call too to score so low on TS..
Well, it all worked in favour of Alena!:clap:

Ok...

Rochette was def not on tonight...squeaked through that program..but still there is alot of quality there..

Kim was good other than the pop on her 3 flip.

Ando was good and was fast...but choreographically not very good.

Leonova???? i cant believe she got 61! She was a mess. Yes i agree i love her smile and she has loads of charming energy...but does that really mean high pcs marks? almost as high as rochette? And she did have a slipout of her 3 jump.

Wagner...loads of potential but strange jump tech.

And Suzuki was charming...too bad about her ur.

Ah, so happy for Leonova!!!!
Yes, she could have better lines and stretch, be more polished, etc...
I'll still take her over the vast majority of the "elegant" skaters anyday. She has that IT factor.
(I am tasteless and I am not afraid to admit it!)

Yuna has best 3x3 but that doesn't mean she gets full credit automatically.
I could see how much her blade rotated on the ice to finish the jump.

If they call the other girls they have to call Yuna too.

I thought her score was fair. It is a good score and she did not skate her best

Saying that Yu-Na's 3T looked underrotated would rank up there as one of the most inane things I have ever heard (no offense....).

It was a gorgeous, perfect 3Lutz-3Toe combination.

BETTER than Lysacek's, Weir's, and Oda's. None of whom were downgraded.

Today's tech specialist was the one who gave Yuna the one and only wrong edge call on 3F last season. Nuf said.
IMO the edge call was BS and today's DG is the same BS.

I just hope media leave her alone between now and her LP.

Watching a Live stream is tough. Waking up and being sleepy doen't' help :)
Did she get a call on the 3T or not?

............ well, I've seen many cases where many girls weren't called, and seriously, if Yuna's 3-3 should be downgraded, then I just want to see a better 3-3. That's all.

Her 3+3 is usually excellent, but this one was not up to her usual standard.

We don't even know for sure if it was downgraded.

Mess? For one 3 turn error? You clearly dislike her:biggrin:

well, well, well... sasha might have a shot at the podium, maybe gold, after all. as inconsistent as the others are, she's right in the thick of things, LOL.

i'm worried about kim's long though. she seems to be plagued by something lately. honestly, has she ever skated a perfectly clean long? i don't recall.... I've always seen her pop, turn out, or fall at least once.

I watched the whole broadcast live, and after the scores have been announced, according to the commentator, her 3T in 3-3 got downgraded. The commentators also seemed very shocked. I watched her 3-3 though the program and through slow-mo and not even slightest doubted it had any problem. I thought it was damn good 3-3 like always.

I have no idea why it got downgraded but popping her 3F and this downgrade on 3T, the score seems about right.
BUT, then again, I have no idea why the 3T got downgraded..seriously.

Judges are a notoriously fickle bunch. Yuna's 3Lz3T this season have come dangerously close to UR several times this year; it finally catches up to her when it seems like she's most vulnerable.

My recommendation to Orser would be to get Yuna a good sport psych NOW, if he hasn't already. Also, work on individual jumps, rather than jumps in the context of the programmes. Her 3x3 and 3F are vulnerable to downgrades, and they need to be tackle that issue head on, rather than avoiding it.

She has had a problem with the 3f at every competition. No Loop and if she loses flip she can be beaten

I don't ever remember Yuna as a clean LP skater. She's a very dominant SP skater though. So it's troubling (for Team Yuna) that she didn't do very well here.

I felt her 3+3 was even better than usual. The slow-mo with air position tracks showed a fully rotated 3T to me.
