[QUOTE=skatefancan;436899]Ok...
Rochette was def not on tonight...squeaked through that program..but still there is alot of quality there..
Kim was good other than the pop on her 3 flip.
Ando was good and was fast...but choreographically not very good.
Leonova???? i cant believe she got 61! She was a mess. QUOTE]
Mess? For one 3 turn error? You clearly dislike her![]()
well, well, well... sasha might have a shot at the podium, maybe gold, after all. as inconsistent as the others are, she's right in the thick of things, LOL.
i'm worried about kim's long though. she seems to be plagued by something lately. honestly, has she ever skated a perfectly clean long? i don't recall.... I've always seen her pop, turn out, or fall at least once.
I watched the whole broadcast live, and after the scores have been announced, according to the commentator, her 3T in 3-3 got downgraded. The commentators also seemed very shocked. I watched her 3-3 though the program and through slow-mo and not even slightest doubted it had any problem. I thought it was damn good 3-3 like always.
I have no idea why it got downgraded but popping her 3F and this downgrade on 3T, the score seems about right.
BUT, then again, I have no idea why the 3T got downgraded..seriously.![]()
Judges are a notoriously fickle bunch. Yuna's 3Lz3T this season have come dangerously close to UR several times this year; it finally catches up to her when it seems like she's most vulnerable.
My recommendation to Orser would be to get Yuna a good sport psych NOW, if he hasn't already. Also, work on individual jumps, rather than jumps in the context of the programmes. Her 3x3 and 3F are vulnerable to downgrades, and they need to be tackle that issue head on, rather than avoiding it.
If Yuna skates well in the free ( I hope ) , I still don't know if she can be beaten.Of course I can't be entirely objective because much as I admire Miki's skating , I wish she would get away from the monster. I don't think her programs or her costumes do a thing for her , and she seems to be nervous all the time.
Alena's going to give us a lot of fun ..I hope for a long time. And Joannie is less than a point behind.
Just time to pull myself together for the dance...My music channel is playing Valse Triste in the background, I that's a good omen.
She did. In COR 2007. Her 3ltz was slightly shaky, but she set world record there, and she did 3Loop.

I saw the replay of her 3 x3 and her landing foot had to rotate quite a bit to complete the jump.
But it is hard to tell on a stream - if the judges called her they felt it was a ur.
Maybe it was something else, but what?
Her score, considering she missed the flip is still very good.
But Yuna did not look as comfortable as I have seen in the past. I think missing the flip again must have bugged her
