Is that a sure thing? Rubleva/Shefer had a better Grand Prix than B/S.

B/S (19/20yrs) are younger than R/S(24/26yrs) and both the teams were received very well at grand prix events they did this year. Russian fed would very likely want a younger team to get some olympic experience. this result will allow them to send R/S to the worlds (D/S would very likely not compete) and try to keep the 3spots for the next world championships.

What's with all the Russian men? Is it a requirement for them to have mullet hair style? ;)

If I'm not wrong Plushenko's program was: 3toe, 4toe, 3axel, 3loop, 2a, 3lz-2toe, 3a-2toe, 3sal

79.00 + 92.50 = 171.50
Total: 271.59

I prefer not saying anything about that 92.50 in PCS :rolleye: :rolleye:

That's correct. I think the first one was supposed to be a quad combo.

I think you are right (about everything) and I think the 3sal was a stepout.

I miss Lutai. My best wishes to him for the future.

Voronov just did a sleep inducing program.

Unfortunately, I usually find Voronov sleep-inducing ;)

I have been struggling with Firefox to no avail, thus far. Thanks to all who provide descriptions and element lists. *sigh*

Is it possible that D&S will choose not to compete at Euros? Perhaps B&S and R&S then may skateoff on the international stage. (My preferred sequence of events :) Save Max's knee as much as possible and improve programs! )

Try another web browser. I downloaded Chrome. Google it. Easy to download and works on my mac. The russian stream did not work with firefox for me.

Well, reportedly they are not participating in EX tomorrow and leaving tonight back to the states. The rumor is that they very well might skip the Euros and focus on training and fixing the programs based on the feedback from Nationals. They are lucky that despite the scores, the critique was very loud and to the point.

I agree he needs to rest his knees, but it will too risky not to show it to the international judges, especially technical panel and access the levels for steps especially. i would definitely want them to show the OD to judges, because the shock factor of the dance was too much to handle, even for a die hard fan like me. Once you see it second and third time it will soothe itself out, hopefully.

Expected podium. Congratulations to Plushenko, Voronov and Borodulin

I don't know what a mullet hair style is, but it's great to see hair on the russian men's heads  Or should I say boys? Many of them are young and talented and can be real good in the future: Well done Gorshkov, Grigoriev (he did a "Klimkin" at the end of his program) and also Dmitriev jr. Gachinski was a bit disappointing.
