    Some recent Yu-Na pics:

    At school with a classmate(?):

She’s a physical education major at Korea University, and it’s said she’s been regularly attending classes. Kudos to her schoolmates for being considerate enough and protective of her; there’s been very few photos of her school life on the net or on SNS.

At the SBS’s year-end awards presentation gala:

She was given a contribution award for her role as a mentor and a member of the judging panel in SBS’s ice dancing survival program, Yu-Na Kim’s Kiss and Cry.

Samsung stopped being a sponsor for Cup of China in 2011, after having the event titled around them for about as long as CoC existed. I think there was a direct relationship between this cessation and Yu-na's departure from the GP series for the season, and her moving on to other things. Samsung would rather go where she is, or might be, and I can't say I blame them!

And she did it without a strong federation or agency support.

Whatever criticism one might throw at her, she worked hard and deserves her success. She brought the money and opened new doors, to new audiences, new territories and she did it in her own way. She revitalized the sport to produce extravagant experiences, great stage ambiance and where skaters get acknowledgement as first class athletes flying all first class to skate at her shows and earn decent money doing so. These latest sponsorship on COC and SOI is just one of the perks that benefit the sport as well as her sponsors. What I am most thankful however is she's able bring back and reintroduce all the greats like Michelle Kwan, Irina, Kurt to new territories ambassadoring the sport at the world stage, which are just phenomenal accomplishments apart from being a truly exceptional skater.
I absolutely agree, and it's one of the reasons I admire her so much (in addition, of course, to her skating). Dick Button has often said that a great skater is one who leaves the sport better than he/she found it. It turns out that there are other ways to do this besides competing as a skater, as Scott Hamilton and YuNa prove conclusively.

She's a beautiful skater. Wish that she has continued but opting out is understandable. She has worked so hard and deserved her success. Good luck Yuna. You have brought Korea to the forefront of figure skating.

All That Sports (Yu-Na's management company) signed with Jin-Seo KIM, a 15-yr old men's singles hopeful. He's the first male skater to be under ATS' management.

    ATS is back!

All That Sports announced the media that their show is set to go on May 4th to May 6th, in Seoul, under the title "E1 All That Skate Sprint 2012". They have increased their investment on the entire stage setup, hoping to upgrade the visual impact of the show and house a greater audience, in response to the past audience support.

Yuna's introducing a new program for the show, and as always, some of our favourite skaters performing as well. ATSports will be releasing more details soon about the list of skaters, their programs, etc.

Oh this is good news. I love YuNa's shows they are so well done. I know that Evan said in his last interview that he was going to do YuNa's show. I wonder who else will be in the cast. Maybe Ashley or Sasha.

I would like to see the faces on those thirteen-year-old boys when Yu-na Kim walks through the door and announces, "Hi, I'm your new teacher."
