I don't know? She looks very poised and reserve. It might be cultural

Many fans noticed that too, Vietnamese fans talked about it a lot during Olympic time and it made us even more sad, worried (and yes, more angry). It's one of the reason we are glad that she retired, because she won't have all the lonely time like that ever again.

Hmm from what I remember from the Sochi gala practice, Yuna wasn't super outgoing, but I definitely remember thinking she talks to more people than some of the others.

Some people noted she looks lost here because she "was late to practice": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBXbmYHmKkM (Look at 2:20!!! SO CUTE! like a penguin! ^_^)

But she looks so cute! ^_^ And also, that expression totally makes sense after you have skated flawlessly on your second Olympics and got second place, as you were probably beginning to suspect before you even skated. Her expression looks a bit dazed.

More Yuna laughing at 1:10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24nENP3Lqas

In a way I feel kinda sad for her and also feel bad on the other skaters not talking or approaching her. But I guess that's what I love about her. She's a gentle sweet soul. And I hope she stays that way. :)

yikes...this is what youtube Yuna haters are picking on:rolleye:
Like 'bocchi' or 'ijime'...Actually i always feel the same way everytime I watch gala practice fancam of other skaters. unless it's for pairs/ID, they look all by themselves when it's focused on someone...

No wonder :p

Anw, most of skaters are beautiful, this is a beauty sport after all ;)

Yuna's profile is breathtaking

I don't know how she can grow up look beautiful like this, I found her visual in junior years was below average, screw my eyes

Junior Yuna still looks quite pretty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M6FAzzzEc8

I love how she looked gorgeous without tons of makeup like many of the junior girls (and the younger senior girls) have now in order to appear older...

Maybe I used to look at ton of pretty doll-like celebrities so. I remember back in 2008 when I heard about her for the first time ever, she was a "trend" at that time, I thought "an athlete is the most famous star in Korea? she must be super beautiful" , but was disappointed. For years I wonder "what so special about this girl? she's not even pretty, why Korean go crazy about her? my idol is much more pretty, why?" then refused to watch all her performance, till the day I watch Vancouver by an accident, oh my god, just one moment is enough to chage my mind completely

I just hope the "beauty" isn't just superficial. Because there is more to beauty than what meets the eye. It should also be on the inside or the personality. :)

Well..we're already done with her personality issues long before her comeback:biggrin:
I think Yuna always keeps herself in moderation. She's humble, but still self-respectul. She's got sense of humor, but never try to be in the spotlight.

But yes, we love her more when she makes mistakes:laugh: like this (I mean, look at her socks...)

And a genius never repeats the same mistakes...

Ha, that is hardly a mistake with all the crazy jumping and stretching xD

Was that really the dialogue or did someone put the words on there?

Anyway, some awesome Yuna pictures (some of my favorite of her programs/costumes!!)

The Gershwin/Danse macabre dress is most popular among fans (http://yunaforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2629&st=60) -- do you agree?

Patrick Chan in awe of Yuna made me really happy. :D They would be really cute together heehee. Oops.

I've been digging up old competitive videos of Yuna recently because nothing's happening in the figure skating world, lol. She really was something! And I'm a Mao fan! Hah, her existence brings such great pain to us Mao fans because Yuna was such a perfect skater. Yuna at her prime was unbeatable. Her arms + her artistry = heaven for me as a watcher. It's too bad I got into the sport in 2010... I really would've loved to watch her grow.

I still get sad that her 2010-2011 programs were never perfected... Man, those programs were so good. Soooo good. I'm particularly in love with the Giselle step sequence. So good.

haven't watch any figure skating stuff lately, tonight, I was listening to my ipod, randomly, it was playing Giselle, while that music is playing, Yuna's performance appeared in my head, without watching the actually video, once again, I realized, what a difficult music that is to interpret... Some of Yuna's programs, like Giselle, Kiss of V, Adios, mostly programs after 2011... are programs that will stand the test of time (or actually ahead of its time). its value has passed way beyond tech errors, arms...etc.
occasions like this happened to me once in a while, every time, I revisit Yuna's program, I discovered something new. that is art. Dont know, how will I feel after 5 years, 10 years...
remembered, Yuna fans always wanna write or find the perfect appreciation reviews of Yuna's program. it seems like there will never be one, it is a never ending process, and it is a review that will never be finished.

I feel so lucky to have discovered her in late 2006, watching her 2007 Worlds debut almost in real time. :) It was truly amazing for me to watch to watch her go from getting bronze there (the disappointment from beloved Lark Ascending), to her completely majestic performance at Vancouver. It was amazing to see her confidence and her style develop.

I feel you so much. I only discovered Yuna in 2012 when I was searching for an inspiration for my work (graphic design). I fell in love with her and her performances and literally watched every single performance of her starting that day, every day until now. I never get tired of her skating and jumps and her great personality. I was only able to watch worlds 2013 and Sochi 2014 (streaming). Only two great competitions in my time that I've known her. That's why I was so mad at what happened in Sochi. One of the only two competitions I was able to watch and her last competition as well ended up as such a disaster. It's frustrating and sad.

I'm just glad she is now able to rest as much as she wants. I hope she visits our country someday (Philippines). We have lots of beautiful places she can visit. :)
