Is there any way we can watch Teledeporte online? Or will they even show the SP?
no, it doesn't have an online broadcasting :( and about the schedule, we will know it, a few days before the Euros, so we have to wait

I still trust in a kind soul, who broadcasted through justin.tv the Grand Prix thanks to Russian Channel's signal

Chill out people.

Did you really think that in a country that is like nr. 1 in the world with it's IT solutions - there's free high speed wifi all over the country, you can do your taxes and cast your vote at parliament elections online, public transportation and parking is paid for virtually, to name some examples...- there wouldn't be a way to see the biggest international sports competition of the year online? For shame...

ETV (Estonian Television) is responsible for all national and international broadcast of the event. Coincidentally they broadcast all of their live events online (news, talk-shows, sports, blablabla...), for free, and unlike justintv the limit of simultaneous viewers is 5000. Seeing as there are no Kims and Asadas at Euros, this number should be quite sufficient.

No point in me posting the link right now (not to confuse you guys, the link doesn't show any video unless the broadcast is live), but I will a few days before the event =)

Maybe this links? ;)

ETV - http://www.err.ee/otse/etv
ETV2 - http://www.err.ee/otse/etv2

This link would have to be good for external players - VLC player, WMPlayer....:
ETV - http://mmm.elion.ee/err.asx
ETV2 - http://mmm.elion.ee/err2.asx

If you see there this text...
Otseülekanne ei ole veel alanud või on eetris saade, mille veebis näitamiseks puuduvad ERR-il õigused.
... that means, approximately
"Live has not yet begun, or has aired the show for which ETV not have the web rights."

I hope that Euro will not be "show with no web rights"

I have bad news with respect to TRT3. it looks like they have the same structure as Eurosport. It now shows the schedule up until Thursday and On wednesday there is no men's SP scheduled. They will only show the live events at night. So far it says:

Tuesday:
Pairs SP live at 18.20 CET
Wednesday:
Pairs LP live at 18.00 CET (I think this is the first grup, the boradcast continues until 22.30)

I am so very depressed about the lack of SP coverage for men (and probably ladies). I'll find out Thursday and friday scheduel in 2 days and will let you know.

Found this article in the liberal-green newspaper taz.

Apparently the taz asked Eurosport about the lack of coverage and Eurosport answered, that in the year of the FIFA World Cup, they prefer to broadcast the Africa Cup. The guy who is in charge of the German Federation said that he was disappointed and that it's because most men who make the decisions at Eurosport, know nothing about Figure Skating.

And apparently Eurosport gets good viewing figures when they broadcast figure skating. Which is kind of surprising to me.

I have no objection to showing African Cup of Nations matches - obviously many people are interested in this event, and yes, it is a World Cup year (though surely they are aware that it's also an Olympic year?!).

What does annoy me is that Eurosport is not showing live skating in the evening, in order to broadcast, among other things, taped horse jumping, taped golf, Planet Amrstrong, tennis magazines, and god knows what else. Live events should come first; why couldn't they show the horse jumping after the end of the pairs FS?

I think it is a concious choice to show the taped events just after the actual live events because Chris mentioned it was a way for the network to save on expenditures made to broadcast it (live vs not live). What is more annoying though is that they only show the top 5 in the LP now, meaning just the last group!! Even if it's live, look at the time schedule for men, starting at 21.50 that means only the final group!!! What is this? Besides, last nite they showed the taped version of mens SP top 6 but it was not announced anywhere as far as I remember. It's like they don't give a fiddler's fart.

I got an answer from Eurosport Nordic. No real answers, other than that Europeans is at the same time as Australian open, Africa cup and other olympic winter sports like biathlon, ski jumping etc. (My point was that these other winter sports are world cup competitions, not championships.) I read this as they can't afford the cost of Europeans too.

As for OG and world's they say that "there will be broadcasts from all competitions again." Nothing about LIVE.

I am not that surprised. It's the "silent women masses" who watch FS. If broadcasters learned to see this, and made use of it, they would get more interest for their products. The lack of figure skating in TV and other medias is for sure a gender issue.
